People often save their new dress for a wedding anniversary or a birthday or some party. Some even preserve
their costly wine bottle for guests or keep aside the unique cutlery for them. A guest coming to your
home and appreciating them is an uncertain event and moreover, it shows that we live life for the sake
of appearances. We are that special person who needs great hospitality, not distant relatives.
And preserving it for a future date shows how naive we are. Death comes unannounced and often in a rush.
Today could be the last day we draw breath. To press this further, we cannot carry material things into
the afterlife world. Our ancestors believed it and kept treasures in graves which only led to the looting of dead bodies,
satisfying thieves’ greed but not of our grandfathers and mothers.
